The Moundridge Public Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Stern as the next Library Director. Jill has extensive experience serving in college and public libraries across the Midwest. She most recently worked for the South Central Kansas Library System, an organization that supports 147 public, academic, school, and special libraries across twelve counties. Jill holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Systems from San José State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Kansas State University.
Brad Roth, president of the library board says, “We are excited to bring Jill on board. She understands and shares our vision for the future of the library in our growing community. The library is not just a place to find books, but is becoming more and more a community hub–an important place where people can gather.”
Jill says, “I’m thrilled at the prospect of serving a town that loves its library the way Moundridge does. Moundridge Public Library has a proud history and, with the support of this community, is poised to grow in exciting and creative ways.”
Jill will begin at the library on October 10.
